Student self-registration
Instead of adding students one by one, you share a single link or QR code and students register themselves. Each new student is automatically connected to your institution.
How it works #
- You share your institution's self-registration link or QR code.
- The student fills in a short form — their details, preferred branch, and course interests.
- Their account is created instantly and linked to your institution.
- Confirmation emails go out to both the student and your institution.
Sharing your link & QR code #
Your self-registration page lives at /institution/your-handle/student-self-registration. You'll find the link, a ready-to-print QR code, and an email option inside Learners › Add learner.
- Link — copy and paste it into messages, your website, or social media.
- QR code — print it on flyers, posters, or banners so students can scan and register on the spot.
- Email invite — enter a student's email and we'll send them a branded invitation containing the link and QR code.
The QR code is perfect for admission desks and events — students scan it with their phone camera and land straight on your registration page.
What students fill in #
The registration form is short and mobile-friendly. Students provide:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number with country code (India is selected by default)
- Branch — they pick your head office or one of your active regional branches
- Course interests — for partner institutions, students can select the live courses they're interested in
- Agreement to the terms and privacy policy
Only active branches appear in the list. Deactivated branches are hidden so students can't pick a location that's no longer in use.
What happens after registering #
As soon as a student submits the form:
- A learner account is created with a temporary password, and the student is linked to your institution.
- The student receives a welcome email (with an email-verification step) and their temporary password.
- A formatted registration summary email — with a PDF attached — is sent to both the student and your institution, so you have a record of every sign-up.
- Their course interests are saved so your team can follow up.
- The student sees a friendly success page confirming their details.
Preventing duplicate sign-ups #
If someone tries to register with an email that already has a student account, the form lets them know an account with that email already exists instead of creating a duplicate. The form also includes invisible spam protection to keep out automated bots.
