Instructors and staff
Institutions can build a team. The master account owns the institution, while staff members (co-instructors) help create and run the courses assigned to them.
Master account vs. staff #
| Master account | Staff (co-instructor) | |
|---|---|---|
| Who | The institution owner. | A team member added by the institution. |
| Can do | Everything — settings, branches, learners, staff, courses, payments. | Work on the courses assigned to them. |
| Sees | The full institution dashboard. | A focused staff dashboard. |
Adding staff #
From Staff in your dashboard, choose Add staff and enter the person's details and department. The new team member receives a welcome email with a temporary password so they can sign in and set their own.
The number of staff you can add depends on your plan. If you've reached your limit, you may need to upgrade.
Departments
Group staff into departments to keep larger teams organised. You can add departments from the staff area.
Assigning & reassigning courses #
Each course is run by a staff member. You can assign a course when it's created and reassign it to a different staff member later — useful when someone joins, leaves, or changes responsibilities. You can also mark staff as active or inactive.
The staff dashboard #
When staff sign in, their home page shows:
- About you — their profile summary and a link to their public profile.
- About your institute — the institution's logo, name, tagline, description, contact details, address, partner status, and a link to the institution's public page.
- Course overview — the courses assigned to them, with quick links to edit or open the course builder.
Public instructor profile #
Every instructor and staff member has a public profile at /your-handle. It can show a bio, areas of expertise, a LinkedIn link, and a personal meeting link. Keep it up to date — it helps build credibility with prospective learners.
Meeting licences #
Live, instructor-led courses use video meetings. If your team needs additional meeting capacity, you can request more meeting licences from the staff area.
