Getting started
Create your account, confirm your email, and sign in. This takes just a few minutes and is the same starting point for every role.
Creating an account #
How you sign up depends on what you want to do:
- As a learner / student — sign up from the learner registration page with your name, email, and a password. You can also be invited automatically when an institution registers you.
- As an instructor or institution — sign up from the instructor registration page. During sign-up you choose whether you are an individual educator or an institution (the master account for a team).
Instructor accounts are currently available to residents of India, because payouts and tax handling are processed locally. Learners can join from anywhere.
Signing up with Google
You can also continue with Google instead of creating a password. This is often used when you join through an institution's enrolment link — your learner account is created automatically the first time you sign in.
Verifying your email #
After signing up, we send a verification email with a code. Open it and follow the link, or enter the code on the verification screen. You'll need to verify your email before you can sign in for the first time. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and request a new code.
Signing in #
Sign in any time from the sign-in page using your email and password.
If you've turned on two-step verification (email-based), signing in happens in two steps: first your email and password, then a six-digit code we email you. Enter the code to finish signing in. You can learn more in Account & security.
For your safety, entering the wrong verification code three times locks sign-in for that account. You can recover access using Forgot password, which also turns two-step verification off so you can get back in.
Resetting your password #
Forgot your password? Use the forgot password page. We'll email you a temporary password — sign in with it, then set a new password from your account settings. Resetting your password also disables two-step verification, so use it if you're ever locked out.
